WoodSynth is a synthesizer featuring 4 independent layers, each functioning as a stand-alone synthesizer. Every layer comprises 3 VCOs along with a source based on samples or wavetables, which can be sourced from files or by directly recording audio tracks. Users can assign up to 16 voices per layer, with the flexibility to employ layers in parallel, assign them to specific keyboard regions, or utilize a sequential mode that imparts distinct sounds to each note played.

In addition to its polyphonic pitch-bending touch bar that also displays incoming notes from a keyboard, WoodSynth provides each layer with dedicated filters and envelopes featuring ADSR per voice, individual pitch-shifting envelopes for VCOs, a delay module, basic reverb, an LFO modulator per VCO, 2 general LFOs, and a 16-step sequencer. Key tracking options can be applied to the ADSR attack and release, filter cutoff, and VCO modulation.

The application is versatile in nature, capable of standalone operation with device audio input and output or integrating as a plugin within a DAW. Key features of WoodSynth include support for iOS plugin formats like AUv3 and standalone app functionality, and each of its four synthesizers can host up to 16 voices and are compatible with MPE and Midi V2 protocols.

Users can leverage various input methods like velocity, channel pressure, polyphonic aftertouch, and CC74 to modulate multiple synth parameters. The VCOs house classic waveforms (sine, saw, square, triangle, pulse, and noise) that can be modulated through methods such as FM, AM, Pulse Width modulation, and Slew rate control. Furthermore, users have the option to record audio samples directly or load them from files within the specified WoodSynth iCloud folder.

From Moog Lowpass filters with resonance and ADSR envelopes to stereo effects through filter cutoff offsets for the R channel and pitch-shifting ADSR envelopes for VCOs -- WoodSynth is designed to offer a comprehensive synthesis experience with key tracking functionalities on various parameters. With features like delay units (individually pannable), basic reverbs, 16-step sequencers running in poly mode, customizable MIDI channel settings for each layer (enabling up to 4 split keyboard regions), users can enjoy robust control and tonal flexibility.

The additional high-pass filter saturation and crush control augment sound design possibilities while features like independently pannable synth audio and delay units enrich spatial effects. The inclusion of Ableton Link for tempo synchronization and start-stop functionality ensures smooth integration within musical setups. Moreover, WoodSynth offers versatile routing options with support for CV out and Sequencer MIDI out functionalities.

Enabling customization even further are 4 User Control rotaries that can be freely assigned alongside MIDI CC control options that can be manually set or learned.
